The Milanovich Lab at Loyola University Chicago focuses on understanding the influence of land-use and climate change on amphibian and reptile communities, primarily in the Midwestern United States. We use a variety of methods to explore the effects of global change on, and the ecological function, health, and populations of herpetofauna. Amphibians and reptiles are represented by a variety of taxa, and are some of the most abundant organisms on the planet. Understanding their ecological role is essential to project the true impact of anthropogenic change on biota.
